Another successful thriller by this author!

I also read this one incredibly fast, most likely due to how tense the atmosphere was throughout. As I was reading, I had some assumptions and for the most part I got it right. However, that ending was perfect for this book I'd say. Went better than I thought.

The characters, like in Never Lie, were not characters I'd necessarily call likeable. They're complicated cases but so interesting to read about. We mainly follow the escapades of three characters and I don't want to say more than that because this is one of those cases where the less you know, the better your reading experience will be. Also kinda difficult to talk about thrillers without spoiling even minor things.

I'll say, though, the lock thing was stressing me out. In fact, many things were stressing me out here. 😮‍💨

The writing is easy to follow and, from the two books by this author that I've read, I'd say that's the case in general. It's easily digestible writing, fast-paced, good twists placed throughout, keeps you reading and guessing. I think I'll slowly make my way through the backlist at this point. I'm so entertained. 😂

This is yet another domestic thriller situation that you could NEVER get me to move into or stay in this house. In fact, get rid of this house altogether.
The only reason it's not a full five stars is mainly because I couldn't decide how I felt about these characters until the end.
