Situation Normal by Rosamund Hodge
5.0
I’ve worked out some basic rules, though:
1) Always shrug with just a single shoulder.
2) When you meet somebody, make eye contact, blink, look away for a second, and then look back.
3) You can laugh before you say something, but never, ever say a joke and then laugh after.
4) Don’t cross your arms, legs, or fingers. If you’re not sure what to do, splay your fingers. Sometimes it makes you look a little formal, but you’re never wrong with splayed fingers.
5) When you’re excited, make little squeaks. When you’re disappointed, you can sigh if you want, but it’s kind of gross. Groaning or moaning will get you torn to pieces.
Not going to lie that was one of the scariest dystopian stories I've ever read. Sure it's not very long but the fear and the worry that the character feels is so real. I felt like I was watching everything happen through her eyes and knowing what she did was just awful. Can we get a full novel of this one to please?
Or does anyone know of a story similar to this one?
