Never has a series surprised and stunned me like the Nevernight Series by Jay Kritoff (Read My Review for Nevernight & Godsgrave)– I completed the first two books within days of starting it last year and the wait for the conclusion pretty much destroyed my patience

Now, with every bloody unexpected and violent twists that we saw in the first two books in the trilogy, I was so freaking excited; but at the same time hesitant while starting this conclusion – mostly cause Jay Kristoff is known to bring out the unexpected like confetti at a pride parade.

Darkdawn, as a conclusion, is slightly easier to read as compared to the first two books in the trilogy, but it was fast paced, bloody (oh the gore!!) and a pretty darn satisfying end to the trilogy that bought out the twisted in me.

I am not gonna lie, there were times in the book – where I wanted to hop on a plane, and strangle Mr. Kristoff myself; but I restrained myself (you are alive cause of that restraint, Mr. Kristoff! Bow to me!) and yet at the end of the book, I was left highly satisfied, even if it was accompanied by the feeling of the fact that the plotline was predictable throughout the book!

Also, can I just say, this conclusion also felt a whole lot more emotional as compared to the first two books – Mia, is of course her badass self; but her strength is shown to be, cause of her foundations of loyalty that she always seem to be surprised by!

The Nevernight Chronicles is NOT a YA trilogy; but it is one that you SHOULD DEFINITELY NOT miss; especially if adore a bloody, twisted and violent series with some very interesting writing style, and humour that you can’t help but smirk at!
