Kilty Conscience by Amy Vansant

5.0

I loved Kilty as Charged, Book 1 in this series. But I really LOVED Kilty Conscience. In this book we continue to follow the 3 main characters: Catriona, Sean her adopted father and Kilty (aka Brochan/ Broch) his long (from the 18th century) lost son. They all are time travelers but Catriona doesn't have any memory of living in the past.
Cat is a strong willed, independent women but in this book we see a jealous side of her. She's jealous that Sean seems to be paying more attention to Broch now that he has shown up. She's also jealous of Fiona - a woman that Broch seems to be connecting with.
Kilty is the most charming character that I've read in a while. He seems to be a kid in an adult body and it is a joy to watch him as he discovers all the modern conveniences from horseless carriages, to hot showers, to car services... He is a genuinely lovable character and as his memories return you hope that he finds true love.
This is one series where you need to read them in order to get the full effect of the story plus, each book leaves you hanging for the next. I can't wait for Book 3.
