Setting: Kansas City. Not sure I need to keep writing reviews as these are all very similar. Witty, eloquent language. Fun characters (especially the dog). Serious themes mixed in with light. My only complaint is the characterization of neighborhoods as “bad” which in my mind is code for racism. I realize that this is probably very true to the characters in the book, but i am not sure it adds any value and perpetuates stereotypes and division.
