Hugh Howey blew me away with WOOL, and did it again with SAND. Couldn't stop reading this and wanted it to keep going. I need to know what happened after!!! (I felt the same about WOOL). Another interesting thing happened - I think that SAND brought to life what I now understand to be my worst nightmare - sand everywhere.
