Story of many families living in a London street. Very readable and well written, and the individual tales gave a good narrative on Capital (money) and Capital (city) and the lives of different monied classes.

I was a bit disappointed because I was hoping for a more explicit political slant on inequality because of the the author's excellent essays in LRB.
