ENEMIES TO LOVERS AND A WELL WRITTEN REBELLION

The first book in this amazing duology was definitely one of my favorite reads in 2020, therefore I was beyond excited to finally read the sequel!
I loved the crows as mythical creatures and Res was a wonderful crow! The deep relationship between him and the main character Thia was adorable!

What I liked best was, of course, the enemies to lovers trope between Thia and Ericen! The dynamic of the two is refreshing and cute, I enjoyed reading it a lot! It’s not dark and toxic like most books with this trope, it’s full of trust and true love, I loved it!
Next to the romance part, the different characters and their relationships were just amazing, especially Auma and Kiva, probably one of my favorite ships ever!

The topics of depression and loss was also quite well written and I enjoyed that Thia’s weaknesses were portrayed so openly, it made her special and relatable. Also Ericen’s issues with his mother and the fact that he had to admit he was wrong all the way, I just loved it.

The villain Razel, Ericen’s mother was a well written and serious character, although I think that the end was kinda rushed, especially the part with the Sella’s, so much potential, wasted in 150 pages. I really wish the author would’ve explored that topic more because it was seriously so interesting!

All in all, I can just tell y’all that this duology is absolutely worth your money and your time, it’s a light and fast paced read. Pretty much the perfect read to pull you out of a reading slump!
