The Princess Diaries by Meg Cabot
4.0
I liked it even though it's kind of obnoxious. It seems pretty different from the movie, but I've only seen that a few times before and have no emotional attachment to it so I wasn't like angrily comparing the two at all. Oh and the audiobook is narrated by Anne Hathaway herself! I plan to listen to more in the series. On another note, the more books I read from the early 2000s, the more I see how much social norms and sensitivities have changed in just 20 years. This book had plenty of stuff in it that would not have been published today but was probably considered progressive at the time. I just have to remind myself through the cringing that it was a different time ( ಠ ͜ʖ ಠ)
