In typical Hobb fashion this book grabbed me by the throat and just when I thought all was lost, let go and pulled me into a warm embrace. How on earth does she make me care so much about these characters with only 150 pages?? And how does such a gruesome book feel so tender? 

Robin Hobb is a witch I’d gladly follow into a crumbling castle.
