Better Hate than Never by Chloe Liese

I didn't love this as much as the first book, but I did end up liking it.
I had a hard time getting into the story, it took me a long time to warm up to Christopher and I had so many issues with the first part of the story. I don't really like when the hero is mean to the girl because he likes her but doesn't want to, men who can't appropriately deal with their emotions really frustrate me. Also, the age gap wasn't that big but the comments from the hero about changing the heroine's diapers and other similar things made me a bit uncomfortable. Lastly, while both of the main characters were incredibly childish in their fights at the beginning of the book, Christopher definitely crossed a line so it was hard to like him at first (but I'm glad that it was made evident in the book that he had crossed that line and other characters pointed it out for him).
Nonetheless, once he started to try to make it up to Kate and they started to be tentative "friends" I started to like the book a lot more. I really liked Kate and the portrait of her ADHD, I liked their relationship and the way it developed, there were some really steamy scenes and I appreciated the way demisexuality was represented, and I appreciated how the conflict was handled at the end because both of them actually behaved like adults and communicated with each other.
