I loved the back and forth between "then" and "now" as we learned more about Lara and Jasmine's summer relationship and how it impacted her as her school year started and her relationship with Chase.

I think the only issue that I had is that I didn't get why Chase was suddenly so into her? I was worried at first that it was just him approaching her for no reason other than the fact that he knew she was into him, but that feels like such asshole jock behavior and Chase felt like a really good dude from start to finish in this book. I wish I knew a little more about what was going on there, but that's just one of the flaws of only getting one person's point of view. Still, I'm glad that we didn't get the perspectives of Chase or Jasmine. Just living Lara's life with her felt right. And THAT is why even though I had that issue I'm still giving it five stars haha
