The Emperor and the Endless Palace by Justinian Huang

2.0

While I love the concept and was drawn in by the blurb, the actual book didn't really feel like a love story that transcended lifetimes until the very end (which seemed to come at a faster pace than the set-up).
SpoilerThe ending with River leaving Joey in Bangkok and then getting Joey's promise of breaking the curse also was far from satisfying.

I would definitely read something else by Mr. Huang, but I'm a little disappointed at his debut.
