In My Dreams I Hold a Knife by Ashley Winstead

4.0

This was a thriller/mystery I actually REALLY liked! I liked that there weren’t really a ton of clues dropped and so when the reveal finally happens, it’s actually pretty surprising! Our MC’s fractured memories definitely help.

Our main character Jessica’s college boyfriend was going to kill HER but accidentally killed her ROOMMATE and then he pretended to still like her for a year to maintain his innocence since she had no idea he hated her and wanted her gone? EXCELLENT.

The story told between alternating timelines was frustrating only because I was always eager to come back to the “present” timeline and see more stuff being revealed. I loved the addition of the dead girl’s brother as an instigator/crazy guy.
