I hadn't heard of this book before Goodreads. The author bio says this British author also wrote the Hundred and One Dalmatians. Coming-of-age; lots of self-actualization; descriptions of nature and how nature makes you feel; great characterizing: a genius writer father, a bohemian step-mom, a sister and brother with strong personalities, a doting farmhand, and a couple of loverboys who come into this family's life and shake things up.
