Lightning in the Blood by Marie Brennan

4.0

Brennan has an ability to make her reader aware of all the things her narrator is aware of with a sure deft hand. This volume was easier to digest for its past-tense narrative. Ree is still the suspicious narrator we have come to love, giving us juicier details about her nature and the world she knows now that she has come to know it. Delightful. Sharp. Delicious.
