Good intention with bad presentation

I respect and appreciate the idea behind this book which was to normalize the fact that most women don't have the 'ideal' figure and it is something that needs to more accepted. The entire idea that a beautiful figure is 'this xyz' is ridiculous to say the least. This book highlights several problems faced by plus sized women every single day! And I loved this book for that.

BUT, the writing format, the plot ..was all quite bad. Forgive me if I am wrong but I don't any plus size women wants to experience what she experiences in real life in a book too and in quite a mocking fashion? No from me. Made me uncomfortable at several points. I think a good way to normalize plus size women is basically to normalize it in a plot and not emphasize more on the fact that it is not normalized? I don't know.

I would suggest you to skim read this one :)
