I’m not rating this book or sharing anything nuanced about the plot. While I do think it’s massively important to show struggles of mental health and real issues I don’t think this is at all a good method to do so. I’ve owned this book for nearly a decade and decided to give it a read to get it out of my over crowded shelves. I knew going into it that this was gonna be a tougher read and dealt with heavy subject matter but I can see this book being massively triggering for a million reasons. There’s definitely content out there that deals with the subject of disordered eating in a far better and more delicate way. If anyones reading this and struggling please know that you’re made of gold and you deserve every good thing in the world. I hope the coming days are kind to you.
