Sing Like No One's Listening by Vanessa Jones
5.0
Wow talk about staying out with a bang, voicemails from the dead. We meet Nettie Delaney-Richardson, she has just lost her “Mum” and trying to find her way. She has been accepted to a prestigious performing arts school, but she is worried it is based on her moms talents rather than her own since she bombed the audition. Nettie hasn't been able to sing a single note since her mother died. To make matters worse, she has made enemies of the popular girl and one of the teachers all in the first day.
So at about 22% this became unputdownable. I had to know what happened. I still have it it 5 star even though as I thought about this book this morning I realized none of the mysteries about Nettie’s mom were answered. I almost changed my rating to 4 star because of this, but I was so drawn into the story that I left it. I mean It kept me up past my bedtime, and I was still thinking about it the next morning.
*I received this book as an Advanced Reader's Copy (ARC) through NetGalley. I received this copy free in exchange for my honest review.*
