This book started out with a bit of a WTF! moment for me with Kelli in the vet's office. She is definitely one of the most unique and bold female characters I've read about. You'll see exactly what I mean within the first couple pages. She is smart, won't take crap from anyone, and gets what she wants any way possible. Mac on the other hand is about as up tight as they come. At first he comes off as your standard military/mercenary type. Always thinking about the mission and always in control of everything around him. Both our characters have a past that plays a HUGE part in their personalities and decision-making process so far. These elements are used brilliantly to help push them beyond their barriers and really grow.

Their agreement to go undercover as a married couple causes all kinds of problems right off the bat. Mac doesn't seem to have a clue what married people really do, and Kelli has some serious ulterior motives for finding things out. There is a bit of suspense - we are dealing with arms dealing terrorists here - but it's not quite enough to really call the story a romantic suspense. Kelli and Mac's histories keep coming out more and more as the story progresses - sometimes in the absolutely crazies ways. It was one of the reasons I loved this book so much.

This book really was difficult to put down. I loved how the humor just seemed to come from out of nowhere and slap you (in a good, sexy way). I would stop and laugh out loud and have to go back and re-read it just to make sure I could laugh again. You should definitely give this one a try, and if all of Entangled's Lovestruck's are like this, I may be buying a lot more books - just don't tell my family.
