This book is beautiful, it’s brutal and dark AND it’s beautiful. Ike and Buddy Lee are on q journey of grief, change, acceptance, and redeeming the love for their gay sons that were married to each other and murdered. We watch Ike and Buddy Lee grapple with and recognizing the hurt they caused their sons when they didn’t accept their relationship while they were alive and that just fuels their desire for bringing justice to their son’s murders. There’s so much more to this book that will stay with me as time passes and I continue to think about it. I want to read more from S. A. Cosby!!
