The Devil in the White City by Erik Larson

4.0

This book is SO fascinating. I was enthralled for about the first half. And then I was itching for it to be over about 2/3 of the way through.
I understand why he wrote the fair and the murders together for the juxtaposition, but I think either or both stories could’ve been condensed a bit more.
I thought I was going to be more interested in the parts about Holmes, but I actually loved finding out all the tidbits about the Worlds Fair!
