Sorry for Your Trouble: Stories by Richard Ford
3.0
#librarianhusband and I read these to each other recently, and already what I'm left with is the feeling of beautifully complicated language - which I loved - but no sense of individual stories. They have all blended together, which is shame. They were difficult to read aloud, perhaps I would have enjoyed them more if I'd seen the whole of each story on the page. Still, worth reading. But if you're setting out to try some Ford, I'd suggest you start with the novels Canada and Wildlife which are stunning.
