In a Dark, Dark Wood by Ruth Ware

dark tense fast-paced
  • Plot- or character-driven? A mix
  • Strong character development? It's complicated

3.0

This was not my favorite of Ruth Ware's. I loved the creepy old house setting in the middle of nowhere, and I thought that was done really well. However, the characters fell a bit flat for me, and the twist was pretty predictable. I was surprised because she usually keeps me on my toes, but I found myself easily guessing what was coming. Some aspects were good and it was a quick read, but not the best one for me.
