You know what? This really was a really great book! It's original (to me, I've been on a werewolf/vampire break for years) with great characters. Especially Asia, I hated her with a passion! OOoooooh! And the romance doesn't become Twilight-y with impossible, against-their-nature human and werewolf romances. The Others are not human, they view humans as meat, they don't care what happens to most humans, and you won't be lead to think otherwise. Which is good. I didn't need a book with wimpy characters. Although... Meg was wimpy enough of a character that she filled that quota herself. That's not a total insult, she was raised to be ignorant and helpless, and it's her nature to be innocent, but sometimes she kinda got on my nerves. No matter, this book was way too awesome for that to make a difference!
