Fae's Deception by Melissa A. Craven, M. Lynn

3.0

This was like Acotar on crack. To put it lightly at least. I was searching for a free audiobook on Spotify when I ran across “Fae’s deception”. I have just gotten into the world of fae in the past couple months so I was immediately intrigued. Being in a book slump and having not listened to an audio book in years I thought this was just perfect. And well… it was very entertaining to say the least. I don’t think I have ever laughed so fun much at a book. Not really at the jokes told but more at the some of the most out of pocket dialogue I’ve heard in a book. It was so bad it was good. I found some of her human wants relatable but some of them I found to be just kind of annoying. Another thing I have found is a problem with other readers as well is her being a lovable clumsy naive girl one second and a defiant bad ass the next. This is the with collaboration book I have read. I just wish it was a little more cohesive. I noticed the rest of the series is only written by one of the authors so I wonder if the books will get better if I choose to continue with this series. Also, I got sick of everyone finding her human speech so “quirky and lovable”. Like what? Anyways, I’m forcing my best friends to listen to this book as well so I can talk about this wild story with someone. But, I would like to finish off with the statement I think this would make an amazing tv show. I don’t watch tv shows much and when I do it takes me months to finish them, but If this was a show I would binge it in less than a day 100%.
