I'm Glad My Mom Died by Jennette McCurdy

I loved this book. I always liked Jennette McCurdy as a kid & hearing about things that I remembered through her eyes was so interesting. Especially when she talked about her short-lived music career; I always feel crazy when I mention it bc no one remembers her absolute BOP homeless heart. Anyways, it’s crazy the way that people could be going through such terrible things & we’d never know.
I expected this book to be more angry because of the title, but I think it shows how sometimes even if we know the people we love have hurt us deeply, we can’t help but treat them with love & care. I feel like the way it ended gives closure for us readers even though Jennette’s life and journey isn’t over. Knowing that she’s on the road to recovery was great to hear.
Loved this & I should’ve read it earlier but something about memoirs I just can’t read them with my eyes. I enjoyed this audiobook & Jennette’s different voices for people were surprisingly good lol. If I hadn’t read the book, I would say she should voice act but I did, so I think she should continue to write if she wants because this was great.
