Oathbringer picks up immediately after the conclusion of Words of Radiance and what a ride it is. We learn more about the impeding Desolations and get to see how the world reacts to the news that the Knights Radiant are back. What I enjoyed the most about this book is we take a deeper look at who Dalinar Kholin was before and how he earned the name The Blackthorn. We also see how Shallan's current growth and her past are affecting her psyche. Even Kaladin sees some positive changes. Brandon continues to be a deliberate storyteller in Oathbringer. Small details that were in the previous two books or even this one, have impacts, big and small, throughout the book. The conclusion definitely makes me want to jump into Rhythm of War.
