I have mixed feelings about this book. Book 1 was super engaging and interesting plot wise, while this book was less interesting plot wise but was way more engaging relationship and character wise. Tahereh Mafi is absolutely the queen of yearning and broody men. I truly would read a thousand books with very similar plots just to experience the tension that she is able to build between her characters who are romantically involved. So, despite the fact that the plot is feeling pretty mid for me, I'm going to read the next one because holy shit the tension and yearning is god tier.
