Another book that caught my attention because of a social media reel. Let’s just say mistakes were made.
I didn’t know this was a cliffhanger / duet story, because if I had, I wouldn’t have started it.

The book itself had so many missed edits, which took away from the appeal of the actual story. Some of the writing was very repetitive and quite underwhelming. I found both MCs to be very underwhelming. Molly was written to be a strong, fierce heroine and yet she was a manipulated puppet for most of the story. Her dedication to finding Kirill was absurd.

Kirill was laughable. He was so wishy washy with his feelings and emotions. The author tried to write him as some dark, brooding, depraved man and yet most of the story he was just a wealthy suit. I didn’t find his level of taboo to be that crazy or shocking.

I rated this a 3 because parts were enjoyable but the story was kind of bland. I’m annoyed I have to read a second book to find out how it all ends.
