Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close by Jonathan Safran Foer
5.0
This is the incredibly touching and quirky story of an inquisitive, adventurous and extremely caring nine year old, Oskar Schell, who lost his father on 9/11 and then found a mysterious key in an evelope labelled "Black." Oskar deduces that Black must refer to someone's last name, and then begins a quest that leads him all across New York. Throughout his journey, he starts to come to terms with what happened to his father and begins to heal. There are also chapters written in the perspective of his grandparents, which are so completely different to anything else that I've ever read before. This book blew my mind, and I absolutely loved how everything came together full circle in the end.
