Siddhartha by Hermann Hesse
4.5
The story of Buddha. Has him named Siddharta and with Govinda another Brahmin kid. He has gained much knowledge but he needs experience and he doesn’t believe in many gods. He believes in the eternal soul and the Atman. Found the book very interesting and has a wide appeal. Even knowing nothing about Buddhism, I felt like I have a strong base of understanding now. Highly recommend this book.
