When your favours author of all time randomly drops a book with oceanic themes along with tea and teacups and plants being central to the story, the only reasonable thing to do is drop everything else and devour it in 2 days. I didn’t even realize the story involved tea until I opened the front cover to a beautiful illustration of Tress and a teacup. I vented my excitement to my mom for a solid 20 minutes before actually starting to read it. It did not disappoint!

Whimsical, mysterious, fun characters, unique magic system & world building, Sanderson-esque adventure and high stakes… and all my favourite buzz-words. It delivered everything I ever hoped for and more. Not everything that came out of 2020 was bad… this is magnificent! Read it!
