Revery: A Year of Bees by Jenna Butler

informative reflective fast-paced

2.5

Canada Reads long list, which sometimes strikes me as the CBC throwing spaghetti at the wall?

Non-fiction by an off-the-grid farmer in northern Alberta, which I was expecting to be a lot more poetic descriptions of the landscape, and turned out to be quite a bit of history and politics. It was interesting, and I certainly learned a lot about bees, especially wild bees, but the turning of the year format didn't really work. There was quite a bit of repetition, especially about the history stuff, which wasn't great for something that's more a pamphlet than a book.
