Modern Herstory: Stories of Women and Nonbinary People Rewriting History by Blair Imani

hopeful informative inspiring

3.5

I took out this recommended audiobook from my local library as I'm trying to read more non-fiction this year and I thoroughly enjoyed my time listening to it. I felt like the information was presented and organised well, although as I listened to the audiobook, I missed out on the excellent illustrations that other reviews have mentioned.
It was brilliantly diverse, focusing on several marginalised groups, however it was more US-centric than I was hoping and I think it would have benefitted from more global research.
It is also shorter than I expected as the last 1h 11m is actually a glossary, so I think it provided just enough for a fantastic introduction to these women and non-binary trailblazers but doesn't go into as much detail as I would've hoped.
