If P.G. Wodehouse and Arthur Conan Doyle had a child....
This is the first Dorothy Sayers book I have read, and I am a new fan! This book reads like a cross between a P.G. Wodehouse Jeeves story and a Sherlock Holmes story. The characters are wonderful (I especially liked the many strong female characters), the plot is interesting, and the writing is full of wry humor. I will definitely be reading more Sayers!
Update: re-read in Oct. 2021
I have since read a few more Lord Peter books and have enjoyed them all. I think this one is my favorite so far though. I quite enjoyed it again.
