Another powerful installment. I continue to be so impressed by Arden’s writing and how she crafts atmosphere. I feel as though I’m living in this world while reading it. I love Vasya and this book is very powerful. The end has me so anxious to read the next installment.

Reread 4/3/22 - 4/14/22: PLOT. This book had so many things happening. If you felt that the first book was too slow, please continue. This one has a lot more going on over a shorter time span, but Arden’s character work continues to shine and there are some very tender interactions. She truly brings them to life and almost every character feels like a real, layered person who you can get to know and understand.
