Really disappointed in this. Didn’t love the first one but I was intrigued so continued.
This book was far too short, and spent far too long in the characters minds repeating the same things again and again rather than spending that time advancing the plot or even taking time to describe the surroundings.

Also Dacre’s inner dialogue about the Verena being his, even if she doesn’t want him to be, gives major red flags. 🚩🚩

Don’t think I’ll be continuing in this series.
