If I had to sum up this book into one word it would be BORING.
I have to congratulate the author for taking a pretty interesting premise and being able to go with the absolute most boring plot you could think of. It is so far away from the description of "a chilling, powerful and gripping story" that it's not even funny anymore. And that is my impression after having read beforehand that the book is not about what it wants to sell itself as.
The book is in parts about content moderation, yes, but it only deals with that very little. Most of the book is about the annoying and boring main character and her love life. I did not care about the main character, nor about anyone or anything else in this book. The book description of "How long before the moderators' own morals bend and flex under the weight of what they see?" you want to know what this is mostly about with very few exceptions?
Some of the people working as content moderators believe in conspiracy theories (you even get an explanation of flat Earth theory - wow...).

The only plus points of this book are that 1) it is pretty short (still a waste of time to read though) & 2) the writing in itself is somewhat decent.

I would not recommend this book to anyone. Save your time and pick any other book.
