Price of Glory: An Empowering Lesbian Antihero Science Fiction Fantasy Adventure by L. Fergus

4.0

Kita almost always faces consequences for the morally questionable choices she makes, and that's part of why I enjoy this series so much. She's an antihero and can be rooted for and resented at the same time. There were a couple of characters who made similar choices in this book and they didn't face much for consequences, however. I'm not gonna spoil anything but what I do hope is that it wasn't just behind-the-scenes and it'll be explored in later books. This story also focused a lot on mental health issues, and not in a forced way but one that really tied in with the story. It was well done and made the characters involved a lot more relatable.
