Summary
When Aubrey's finance leaves her the day of their wedding, her brother's two best friends whisk her away, determined to help her get through the day. When she discovers her honeymoon is nonrefundable, the three of them end up at a B&B in a small town and of course, there's only one bed in the honeymoon suite. With Ledger and Dev trying to hide their feelings for Aubrey, and Aubrey coming to terms with the fact she didn't actually want to marry her ex-fiance, they strike up a deal: 1 week of nonstop pleasure before they go home and return to being just friends. We'll see about that....

Thoughts
I somehow ended up reading this book before the other 2 in the series, but it definitely worked as a standalone read. Aubrey and her people-pleasing tendencies are incredibly relatable and watching her find her voice was honestly inspiring. Ledger and Dev were a bit hard to tell apart at first, not because they're similar in really any way but because from the first chapter the 3 of them are always together, so you never really have a chance to learn about one without the other. The thing I found most refreshing in this book was how much Ledger and Dev adored Aubrey. They took her for who she is, built her up without any expectation of a relationship beyond friendship, and spent every minute of every day worshiping her and getting to know the truth of her. There's something so indulgent about reading a story without miscommunications, arguments, things said in anger, or anything other than a steadfast dedication to bringing one woman joy. Also, I really want to read the next story about Briar now, and then probably read books 1 and 2 😅

A few of my favorite quotes:
  • "Don't settle when it comes to cake or men. You hear me, Aubs?"
  • "I didn't do anything," he grumbles...."You both did." She takes a beat, exhales. "You both did a lot today." Ah, hell. Taking care of her today was a gift.
  • "Is it weird that I feel seen right now from what you just said? Because I do. I just do."..."You should. What you said makes all the sense in the world," I say, emphatic.
  • This is my favorite thing. To make a woman feel like she's the center of the world.
