How to be a Good Creature
A Memoir In 13 Animals
By Sy Montgomery
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I loved this book. The author tells us ten tales poignantly personifying 13 different animals both commonplace and exotic including two emus , an octopus, a pig, a border collie and so much more. She freely shares what each creature taught her from the simplest lesson from Chris the pig who teaches not just her, but all of us, to love life, even when life gives you slops to the Christmas ermine who gives her insight on her difficult mother.
I found these tales full of wonder and grace and I loved how Montgomery took these animals and showed us that maybe we aren’t as smart as we think we are and just how much alike all us creatures are.
I laughed and I cried, and I’ll definitely be reading her other books. #gettbr you hit it on the head with this recommendation.
