Board to Death by C.J. Connor
Did not finish book. Stopped at 23%.
I'd been looking forward to reading this book since before it was published. Unfortunately, this was too slow-paced, the main character wasn't interesting, and I figured out the who the murderer was before the murder even happened (and I confirmed it from other reviews). This also needed another proofread because some of the writing was clunky. The first few chapters take place in one day. In the first chapter, the main character sells a board game, but in chapter four, the person he sold it to talks about how her grandchild almost beat her at the game "last night" even though she just bought the game earlier that day. This was described as a cozy, but the main character bemoaning his life bummed me out just 55 pages in.
