i've never been as invested in greek mythology as I was when reading Circe!
apart from the difficulty, I found in the writing style, which by the way was so unique and I loved every single second of reading it and checking online what every god, demi-god, and mortal stood for, I can say this was a whole book to devour! everything was so well written and explained. it took me back to my early school years when I had to learn about greek mythology but the difference is so big. i got most of the references now and it felt so nice!
i know this is only a retelling of Circe's story from her point of view but it was incredible and 5 stars are way too little for such a masterpiece.
