“I’m such a mess.” He smiles down at me, pushing a piece of hair out of my face. “Yeah.” He chuckles, and if I had the energy, I’d whip a pillow at his face. “But you’re my mess. And I’m not letting you go.”

Thoughts:
I was initially drawn to this book based solely on the cover. I am such a sucker for a gorgeous illustrated book cover and I loved this one.
This story was surprisingly emotionally heavy. I love this kind of story, so this one was great for me. Aiden and Cass had rough childhoods. I loved experiencing their childhoods through memory flashbacks throughout the story, getting little bits of information at a time, and piecing things together.
Aiden and Cass truly feel like they are meant for each other. They have sizzling chemistry, and the tension & pining was amazing. I loved the OCD representation in this story. Cass' care, patience, and understanding for Aiden and his OCD was utterly heartwarming and easily my favourite part of this book.
I also really enjoyed how the fake dating and hidden identity tropes were incorporated into this story. It was a really unique take on them.
