A real tear-jerker with some really interesting ties and insight into the backstory of the main Theonite series! This is less "young" adult than Wang's Theonite novels, including some difficult topics like murder, rape, and suicide, but overall, it is a very good fantasy epic that covers topics of loss, recovery, and growth in a very satisfying way.
