Fall Into You by J.T. Geissinger
5.0
Cole & Shay: Because The Villain Needs Love Too- 5 Stars!
I promised myself that I would never read another JT Gessinger book after being royally pissed at the ending of PEN PAL. As a reader, I have grown and realized that every book doesn't have to resonate with me. Far be it from me to "yuck" someone else's "yum". In the past, I have loved her books. Especially, the books featuring the Irish Mafia and the enigmatic, bad-ass hottie, Killian Black. In light of this, I am very glad that I decided to read this book. FALL INTO YOU was phenomenal.
Cole is the middle child of the McCord brothers and the grump of the family. CFO of a major media company, Cole doesn't have relationships, as they only complicate matters, and he refuses to commit. Enter Shay: the sassy, seductive accountant he meets in a bar and has a one-night stand with. In classic form, Cole finds that he cannot stay away from Shay and vice versa. This makes matter worse when Shay is hired as his new assistant. Shay worms her way into Cole's heart in spite of his dark secrets and together, the two find a deep connection but Cole's stubbornness may be the one thing they cannot overcome when their relationship is tested.
The star of this book was Shay. She was so relatable and such a likeable character, you will either relate to her as someone currently in your life or a friend you wish you had. She accepts Cole and all of his demons and is that sunshine that compliments Cole's grumpy.
This was a fun and dramatic read and will definitely put you in your feels. JT Gessinger has really been redeemed in my eyes based on this book. I have added some of the books I've missed to my TBR pile. I'm glad I decided to give these books another chance.
Happy reading!
