isn’t it so nice how when contented with love you can see it all the much more beautiful around you? i loved this one much more than the last one, despite it being kind of a filler. anne is quite meddlesome in this one, but always for the better. all the short lived characters in this book were wonderful. i feel like anne’s whimsical childhood self really came back in this book! (not that it ever really left) while i was sad about no gilbert, everything else really made up for it. anne gets a rocky start in summer side, but she always perseveres. little elizabeth is one of my favourite characters in all the books so far i’d say! i love all her quirks, and i am glad i won’t have to wonder at her ending. it took me a bit to come around to rebecca, but i think she grew on me just as she did on anne. katherine!!! i love so much how everything turned out with her. the humour in this book is also especially great. one thing i really enjoy about all the books is that you will feel every type of emotion while reading, it makes it all feel much more real. people are complicated creatures, we get to see a lot of that in this one, from all different kinds of people.
