Of all the graphic novels I read this year this one had the most text. Which isn’t a complaint! I loved it. It was just a lot more reading than I'm used to (for graphic novels!)!
As a fellow nonbinary, as a person who is exactly like Nour, their issue is that they need to transition. Or they were suffering from autistic burnout. Or maybe it’s both. Or maybe I’m projecting but not really I know what I’m talkin about!
Graphic: Body horror, Child death, Confinement, Death, Mental illness, Misogyny, Suicidal thoughts, Forced institutionalization, Blood, Grief, Murder, Fire/Fire injury, Colonisation, Injury/Injury detail, and Classism
Moderate: Transphobia, Vomit, Medical content, Car accident, Death of parent, and War
Minor: Ableism, Drug use, Racism, and Religious bigotry
