Nevermoor: The Trials of Morrigan Crow by Jessica Townsend
5.0
I had seen a few people post about this series on instagram recently. I was completely drawn to the cover, and the fact people said it was Harry Potter-esque. I guess I can see why people say that, but honestly I don't get Harry Potter vibes, not really. Yes there is a young girl who is cursed and swept away to another magical world and enrolled in a school for special children.... hmmm okaaaaay so it IS Harry Potter-esque *shrugs*. This world however is quite an interesting and new concept (at least I haven't read anything like it before). You have unnimals, bullwuns, magic, vampires, and every other possible magical being you can imagine and NOT imagine. I'm in love with it all... seriously I want to live at the Hotel Deucalion with jupiter. I don't do spoilers in my reviews so I don't want to rehash the story, however Morrigan Crow is such a relateable character and I especially would have loved her as a 11/12 year old.
